RECOVERY OF THE VOICE OF GUMERCINDO DE OLIVEIRA LOURENÇO AFTER APPEARING THE TREATMENT OF THE WATERS OF THE SPA OF SÃO VICENTE
Gumercindo de Oliveira Lourenço reported that he was operated on four times in the throat by two of the best medical specialists in ENT in the country and was unable to recover his voice or obtain the desirable improvements.
One day, he met a lady teacher who shared that she had also had problems with her voice and throat and that she had recovered her voice and improved her health using the waters of the Termas de São Vicente.
Gumercindo O'Lourenço then inquired about the quality of the waters of the thermal baths of São Vicente, which had been closed for several years, but the well of Santo Agostinho poured water out. So he decided to sanitize the tube to gargle the water at the São Vicente Thermal Spa. After a while he started to improve and clear his throat and after a few days he managed to speak again without the great hoarseness that had been haunting him for several years.
After these results, he tried to contact the owners, at the time, of the Termas de São Vicente, having later managed to buy the entire thermal complex, namely the Hotel, the spa and the park, with majestic trees that still exist in that park today.
To prevent the return of the disease and the loss of voice, he continues to go every week, and whenever he can, do nasal irrigation and other ENT treatments.
In his opinion, “the waters of Termas de São Vicente saved me and improved my quality of life. Since then I have been able to speak and talk normally, and I have never had to have an operation on my throat again. It is sulfur inserted in water and nature, as the Romans saw it when they built the Luso-Roman spa now classified as a monument of public interest.
