Of the several castros in the municipality of Penafiel, Citânia do Monte Mozinho (Cidade Morta) stands out. Located in Oldrões and Galegos, it is the largest Castro Romano in the Iberian Peninsula. The Povoado do Castro, of oval shape and surrounded by walls - platforms on which the houses were built, will have been inhabited since the first century.25
